Funding decisions are made in a variety of ways. WoC responds--almost every other day--to appeals from our partner organizations on the ground. Often through Action by Churches Together (ACT Alliance), the largest global alliance of Christian humanitarian agencies in the world) or Church World Service, we contribute to ecumenical efforts to respond to disasters and development needs. WoC also responds regularly to appeals from Foods Resource Bank (FRB) to support overseas growing projects (agricultural assistance) supported by our local growing projects, out of our Disciples account at FRB. The WoC Advisory Committee helps to set policies and parameters for responding to requests for funding. Meeting at least twice a year, the WoC Committee approves disaster appeals and sustainable development requests from partners.
