Compassion is a team effort.
THANK YOU for cheering on someone who's ready to run, walk, cycle, swim, or some combination of all those things! –– all while lifting up the work and witness of Week of Compassion by inviting their friends, family, and community to support this fundraising effort.
In 2024, a Disciples pastor was preparing for a triathlon, and asked people he knew to make a gift to Week of Compassion in support of the miles he would swim, bike, and run. And they did! Now, other Disciples clergy are joining him, doing race events and inviting gifts from their own communities, because they know the work of compassion is never done, and that this work can really only be done as a team.
By making a contribution to Week of Compassion, in the name of a Team Member, you join them, and us, in our mission – working with partners to alleviate suffering throughout the world. Through disaster response, relief and recovery; by supporting immigrants and refugees and their families; and by engaging in sustainable development projects that elevate local communities, Week of Compassion lives into the vision of a world where God's people transform suffering into hope.
