GROUP VOLUNTEERS

GROUP VOLUNTEERS work alongside communities after disasters to rebuild strength, stability, and resilience.​
Read more below about our active work sites, including site information, age and supervision requirements, provisions and fees, and lodging and meal options. In addition to these active sites, we have several referrals through trusted local ecumenical partners, and additional Week of Compassion sites in development. ​Email us to be notified about these opportunities ​as details are available.

Week of Compassion has an ongoing referral partnership with the Craven County Disaster Resilience Alliance to support home repairs for survivors of Hurricane Matthew (2016) and Hurricane Florence (2018).

-- minimum age: 14
(can accommodate a limited number of youth age 12-13 with legal guardian present)

-- maximum group size: 40
-- housing: bunk rooms at Volunteer Village
-- registration: $25/person/night
-- meals: responsibility of the group
