Disciples Seminarians Summer Immersion in Intenational Disaster Response

12/16/2025

Week of Compassion invites Disciples seminarians who are 21 years old or older, seeking ordination within the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and are enrolled in a seminary or theological school to participate in a summer immersion program scheduled for the summer of 2026. Participant service will focus on short-term recovery, rehabilitation, and resilience projects responding to weather-related and human-caused disasters. The Immersion program will take place in the Philippines and in Pakistan where participants will work alongside local humanitarian response partners with existing relationships with Week of Compassion.

Week of Compassion will receive applications through January 31, 2026.
Disciples seminarians will be selected to serve at each site, and will be notified of their selection by March 13, 2026.
